I believe that our nation’s strength and resilience depend on building a more equitable public education system — one that expands economic mobility for young people and creates a more empathic society. Since 2004, I’ve dedicated my career to making that vision a reality.

As Founder of Clear Moon Consulting, I partner with education and social sector leaders who want to improve outcomes for their students and communities. I help organizations find a path forward even when the work feels hard or messy — whether through strategic planning, research and evaluation, facilitation or program design. My approach integrates creativity and is firmly rooted in the belief that strong relationships sit at the heart of lasting improvement and are a prerequisite to breakthrough results.

I am shaped by the many roles I’ve held — teacher, researcher, grantmaker, consultant, partner, dad, photographer, musician, writer, and DJ — and by my conviction that when we bring our full humanity into our work, deep change becomes possible.
